During our time with Mr. Wingate, we learned how to use many new tools on the web. First, we learned how to use flickr, which is a website where people can post pictures and share them. We created accounts and posted a few pictures. We also learned how to send pictures from our phones directly to our flickr website. Next we learned about google earth. Google earth is a program that maps the entire world using satelite photos. We learned how to mark a certain location on the map, and pin a certain picture to that location as well as giving a short description.

Eyetracker test

The eyetracker test was very confusing. I never really recognized a pattern, it was more of a guessing game for me. I did learn about how important a web page layout is, especially for large sight like NY times and AJC. It is very important to place headlines, picture, and side articles in certain places to grab the readers attention. They also have to place advertisements in specific places so they can be seen. I really learned that there is a lot more thinking as to how to design a web page than you notice by just looking at it.

This Saturday about ten of my friends and I all went over to one of our friends houses to watch college football. In the basement of this house, their is pinball machines, a pool table, a ping pong table, a soda fountain, and a 102 inch TV. This is an ideal setting for watching college football literally all day. Finally, at 3:30 the Georgia Bulldogs kicked off, and we saw one of the most exciting plays that will happen all year. Georgia’s starting running back jumped over the head of an opposing defender.object>

I found a great blog all about UGA athletics, mainly football. It tells you all about practice updates, roster changes etc.. without the costly subscription to websites like rivals and espn. http://ching-athens.blogspot.com/
